Cityzenith has continued its global expansion plans by securing a strategic sales and distribution partnership into the Asia Pacific region commencing in early 2021.
The APAC expansion and sales partnership are being led by Australian-based entrepreneur Geoff Gourley, who is a veteran in the construction, technology & smart city sectors with over 25 years experience.
“We are thrilled to be expanding into the APAC region and partnering with an industry leader like Geoff, this enables us to provide on-the-ground expertise and sales and distribution support to our growing customer base”, said Cityzenith Chairman and CEO, Michael Jansen.
Over the last few years Geoff led the $16M CLARA Strategic Business Case for Regional Smart Cities and High Speed Rail as Project Director and Chair of the Project Working Group, and continues to remain involved. CLARA was recently recognised as 2020 CG/LA Infrastructure Global Strategic Project of the Year.
Geoff’s experience in design, construction and sustainably built environments, technology commercialisation and smart cities know-how, as well as a professional career in tier one property, positions him as an industry thought-leader able to connect Cityzenith’s Digital Twin platform into local customers.
He has decades of significant investment into design, property, technology, smart cities and the CLARA project, and is passionate that Digital Twins will support a better future APAC post-COVID.
“I’m really excited to be assisting Cityzenith and have been very impressed by their leading Digital Twin platform, SmartWorldPro2; it’s an innovative, affordable and scalable platform that will play a pivotal part in the digital transformation of the APAC Property, Construction and Infrastructure sector”, said Mr Gourley.
This is the first of several strategic global partnerships that Cityzenith are looking to announce over the coming twelve months. South Africa is another region that holds enormous potential and with talks ongoing with a potential partner it is expected that South Africa will be the second global partnership to be confirmed in the first quarter of 2021.
Digital Twins are increasingly important in the built environment and infrastructure sector, allowing designers, builders, owners and operators to have real-time visibility and management over their assets.
Cityzeniths’ SmartWorldPro2 is the world’s most advanced Digital Twin platform and is gaining traction worldwide, and is now in use in the U.S., the U.K., Europe, the Middle East, India, and now Asia Pacific.
The need to increase resilience and optimise resource management in light of COVID-19 will be among the key drivers for the growth of Digital Twins over the next five years, according to ABI Research. The global tech market advisory firm expects the number of urban Digital Twins to exceed 500 by 2025, and that implementation will expand beyond limited pilots to widespread multi-purpose deployments.
The latest quarterly report from ABI Research, entitled Smart Cities and Smart Spaces positions Cityzenith alongside Bentley Systems and Microsoft, as businesses best placed to capitalise in this expanding market.
It is estimated that the Digital Twin market will grow from $3.8 billion in 2019, to $35.8 billion per year by 2025, at a CAGR of 45.4%*
