Digital Twin pioneer Cityzenith is looking for self-motivated (summer) interns (undergrad or grad) to join the Cityzenith team to work on one or more of the following topics/capabilities that pertain to SmartWorldOS and with guidance from senior engineering leaders in the team.
Cityzenith is the leading company rapidly advancing the SmartWorldOS platform based on operational digital twin of smart cities and buildings. The digital twins running in the platform exploit multisource and multi scale data to provide capabilities for optimized decision making and action for decarbonization objectives scientifically and empirically rationalized by data. We are leveraging machine learning, AI and data science and continuous distributed event processing to unlock the power of digital twins that define the live metaverses customized by the needs of our customers for multi-dimensional seamless interaction. We are building our platform leveraging technology stack elements supported by AWS cloud. Our 3D visualization and interaction with the digital twins are powered by game engines like Unreal and Unity.
1. Digital Twin Model creation and use
Model the physical world of entities in the Built- spaces ecosystem (buildings, equipment, devices, etc)– to capture their a) Components and properties – that represent both their sensed data, derived or virtual sensor, their setpoints, their 3D models, location) Their relationships. Use Brick and other ontologies to capture their semantic info. Use AWS TwinMaker tool and API to build the graph model for specific built-spaces (e.g. Campus X, City Y).Exploit such models to create APIs.
2. Simulation.
Leverage open-source tools and models to create simulation service for a building. Integrate and Create services with APIs to i) Upload data or models from an external source into the service ii) Configure the service for simulating built assets and ecosystem for changes in components and parameters of the equipment and built spaces; and changes in set-points, occupancy, and external environment variables.
3. Analytics for Energy and other KPI.
Create data processing pipelines that contextualize incoming telemetry data based on DT knowledge model, track and predict for different energy and comfort related KPIs. Use open-source frameworks like Flink to develop and test in the AWS cloud env.
4. Visualization and Interaction. Model scenes for different role specific interactions with the Smart World OS – use TwinMaker to represent such scenes and exploit such scenes to create API and Unity/Unreal Apps.
Applicants must send a covering letter and resume to p.bose@cityzenith.com on or before the 20th June 2022.
